I think if we were all within a 3 block radius there would be a high wall surrounding those three blocks, and nice people in white coats insisting that we take our medications...

DBTY! I wasn't sure, but David suggested it and I figured he knows  best.

He does. Simple little touch, but it lifted the necklace from 'pretty necklace' league to 'you don't know me and we never met before, but can you please tell me where you got that necklace, it's incredible...' league. Grin

My old laptop died, so I'm not sure where the photos of my pendant are. I'll have a look.

Mz. M, pictures of your fab necklace are in this thread:

Thanks, Sparkly!  That is certainly a lovely necklace, altho not my favorite rose cut pear in a bezel that is also Miz M's.  That one has two little leaves above the pear, that (I think) hold tiny rounds or could be navettes.  I haven't seen but the one shot, and it made me look at rose cut diamonds for quite some time.

It does confirm, however, that if I want to go with minimal metal showing, I cannot use the DBTY format.  I will have to wait and do that on another necklace I have in mind.  Wink

Now if only I could find someone who works in leather and silver.  I have this one necklace called '3rd time's a charm' which would be such a great bridesmaid gift, since this is not only my 3rd marriage, but his 3rd as well.  I bought one from  the company that makes them, but it is dreadfully overpriced and has an engineering defect, as well, which I know how to fix.

I keep drifting back to that light blue round that is no longer on site.  I went hunting for a  different stone, and look what I found.  Of course, trills always look big for their size, which is one reason to love this one.  It has a GIA cert, and it is at a good company (I think), but the price is even higher than the .12 lt blue round.

Diamond Measurements 2.94 X 3.30 X 1.13
Diamond Weight 0.07 Carat
Diamond Color Fancy Intense Green-Blue

Would that be killer to turn on its point and dangle the blue fluor pear from or what?!  Maybe next year.  Like it's gonna stick around that long. Roll Eyes

I do love that it is a rounded trill.  They actually call it a modified triangular brilliant at GIA.  But the price!  It's only a bit above 50k per carat.   faintthud

Good thing I'm not in a hurry to get this piece completed.  Maybe D will find something special for me when I'm ready to set it.

I like Lil' Baloo more than that triangle.  I would just get a while round.

Darn Saqsay1 and her tiaras.  I was poking around and found another Chaumet in the Morroccan royal family, and look at this detail.
