Hi all! I was just wondering if I am the only one following this trial religiously. I can't even explain why it fascinates me. I hope I don't go into withdrawel when its over like I did the O.J. Simpson trial... Any thoughts on the trial?

You know, it makes me sick to my stomach when I think about that poor little girl and her monster mother.  I do think she's guilty...and it's hard for me to stay glued this time around.  OJ got away with murder...IMO, it just floored me!   Angry

My mom has been watching it blow by blow.  It is amazing that people struggle to get pregnant and then there are random people that have babies and they don't even want them.

I've caught bits and pieces of it. I started trying to tune it out when I read of the heart sticker on the duct tape. I feel so sorry for that poor baby girl.

I read the daily update on MSN.  It's really depressing.  In my opinion, the mother was never mature enough to raise a child.  Not that this is an excuse, if she did kill her child, but I wonder why no one seemed to notice her dysfunction while the child was still alive, especially the family who was local.  The child could have been adopted; the grandparents could have lent a hand; children's services could have been called in.  It's just too sad.

I'm afraid I'm prejudiced to believe that the mom did it, as well., and I hate all the publicity this trial is getting.

On the other hand, with DSS STILL in juvenile detention after 5 days, I was tempted to get a 'Bella Vida' tattoo on my other shoulder.....but wait.....maybe 'Vida Loca' would be more appropriate, all things taken equally.

It's a sin.  From what I understand, they only had circumstantial evidence.  As horrible a person she sounds like, they couldn't prove it beyond a reasonable doubt.

Oh...and doubt that she's innocent of this child's death is what I got!   Angry

It wasn't reported in the UK, but I've read a little about it online. That poor little girl, with her whole life still to live. She was so beautiful. My heart breaks for her. May she rest in peace.

I didn't follow the trial at all because what they reported of her death sickened me.  From what little I read though it is a pity the prosecution didn't have their act together.  I read they are the ones who lost the case really.
