It looks to me, like this jelly opal was so traumatized by being put in this fugly pendant............ it fell upon it's own sword. Grin

A lot of these treasures look like something the post office could use in that funny commercial where people want to retutrn things. For examole the scary clown doll.

I'm at a loss for words...... can anyone else think up a witty comment for this piece?

Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without

Srsly -- it's like someone described the general concept of "gemstone jewelry" to the Borg and this is what they came up with.

Reminds me of so many of the houses that have been built in my city in the last 10 years or so. I call them Beige McMansions, but my friend Monica's father (a journalist and professional wit) had a better name: Hodge-Podge Lodges, because they look like someone went through the cast-offs and leftovers at Lowe's and Home Depot and decided to use it all to make a house... so... a little brick veneer here, some clapboard on that side, a Victorian era gingerbread flourish here, an Italianate cupola there, oh and let's not forget stucco upstairs and a flagstone facade downstairs.  It's as if the architect couldn't quite make up his/her mind about what style of home they wanted to build so they threw in a little bit of everything.

Like this ring, they're just hideous and cheap looking, and to add insult to injury, they're on *prime real estate*, often flanked by stately elegant Greek Revival and Colonial homes.

They might as well paint a mustache on the Mona Lisa...

I'll bet you see all sorts of things in clouds, don't you, LC?

'Beep, whir, clunk' came first to my mind, and not with OMC's brilliance backing the statement!  Borg is better, by far!
