Being over 40, it's sometimes difficult to remember all those abbreviations!  So here's a little test for fun...

I was just lurking around on CDI, looking at blings from DBL.  I love all the beautiful colors, especially the FLY, FBY, FIY, and the FVY!  Simply TDF!  I would love for DH to give me one of those in a DSA!  It would have to be on the DL though, I'd never want my MIL, SIL, or BIL to know!   I'd surely love to upgrade my RB ER and WB, or maybe get a new RHR!  I couldn't decide whether to get MG or not.   I may have to seek an HO from CH, DJ, AZ, KK, EMJ, BR, or even WM!!!! I know they can help!  FYI, they are just awesome!  They will have you LOL in no time, or possibly ROFL. I know one of the members on here has a great OEC, and is just waiting for it to be set!  I love looking at the GIAs on their wonderful sparklies!  Some are IF, VVS, VS, SI, I1, and so on, but they are all great! Why, it makes my BP go up just looking! I thought I'd settle my nerves with an old movie.  I turned on the HDTV, and realized we no longer had a VCR to play the VHS on.  All we have now are DVDs and CDs!  I guess I will have to stay on the old PC and look around on CDI hoping for a PM or an IM from someone.  BTW, I'm probably behind now, so I'd better go take a peek.   Exit-Stage-Right

PS:  I know this post is a little strange, but I'm suffering from HBP, LBS, IBS, and even PMS!  faintthud  Anyone know CPR?

Heh, BOT always trips me up because 'bot' is shorthand for 'spambot'.  More of a concern for the mods - not too many spambots on SMF!  Grin

once new york state mails me my liscence, i will officially be a teacher, everything is an acronym and even though i am not completely immersed in the field yet, i cant even begin to list all of the different terms i have learned as use as a second form of speech!

has anyone seen the commercial where the little girl speaks to her mom all in "texting" acronyms about the phone bill? hilarious!

I agree with abbreviation overload!  Imagine a chemist!

ETA:  Gemelli, SAR in banking means "suspicious activity report".  What does it mean in your profession? Huh?

Thanks - it's some lyrics by Michael Franti, from the chorus of "Every Single Soul":

No matter where I roam
whoa-oh I know every single soul is poem
written on the back of God's hand
