I`ve no idea if there are any other movies about blood diamonds. Maybe someone else on here will know the answer to that.
I once saw a documentary, not a movie about certain African diamond mines and it wasn`t nice viewing I`ll tell you.
The miners worked in terrible conditions, their equipment was poor and they were paid hardly anything. Some were driven to trying to steal rough diamonds and if they were caught then they often faced many years in jail in terrible conditions. The lengths they went to were horrendous, they`d pull out their teeth and hide rough diamonds in their gums and other extreme ways, often to sell the rough diamonds for pennies or enough food to feed their families. It gave me plenty of food for thought.

In theory there is (was?) something called the Kimberly process, that is supposed to track diamonds from mine to retail store, and that was (is?) touted by the industry as the solution to avoid the commercialisation of so-called blood diamonds. A few months ago it was shown that the Kimberly process is flawed, allowing untraced diamonds into it. I don't know whether this has effectively killed the initiative or whether it is still going on, perhaps after patching the most apparent flaws.

The truth is in third world areas, anything of value will be exploited and people will be hurt as a result. Gorilla hands to elephant tusks. Whatever is popular, and there is always something hot and popular, these countries will kill their own to obtain it. It's such a shame.
