There's so much strange advice people are given.
One of the "old jeweler's tales" is that a 3 carat center needs 1.50 on each side.

In this case .87carats seems, to me, to be a very nice proportion.

When I was doing handshots, I have to admit that I kept putting this one on. Again and again. (and again) I love trapezoids and this ring had me at hello but I had to say goodbye. Sniff, sniff.

This ring was one of my top three picks on the entire DBL website.  Then, I thought it went away (?) so I stopped thinking about it. (Also, I decided that strong yellow looks like doodoo on my skin). *sigh* I still LOVE everything about this ring; it just oozes classic beauty and quality.
