If there aren't diamonds in heaven, I'm not going!

Okay tribes, here are the 20 questions that will see one Tribe eliminated from SDI.  You have 24 hours from the time of this post to PM your answers to either DJM or myself.  Don't answer on the thread.  Some of these questions you will have to guess at - work with each other to figure out the most educated guess.

This is not a race - there are no points for being first.  Take your time and be as sure as you can of your answers.  Make sure someone is responsible for PM'ing the answers within the designated time frame  Any tribe who does not submit their answers in time will lost by default.

You ready?

Just to clarify on question 16, the centers must be truly colored stones - not simply tinted.  Minimum color grade of S-T.

Clarification for #1....  are we looking for the name and carat weight of the rough diamond?

EDIT:  Could very well be hitcount, Ace...

Sorry folks, I may be out for the rest of the night, even if my name says I'm logged on.  We've got MAJOR thunderstorms now (sounds like they are moving furniture upstairs, except there is NO upstairs!) and that means my satellite connection may disappear... We had storms like this last weekend and we lost power for many hours. Sadly, durng the same storms many lost livestock due to the lightening.  One poor dairy farmer lost 27 cows in ONE strike, another lost three darling mini donkeys.  This weather always makes me nervous about my horses... most stay out with a big run-in. AGHHHHH!!! BIG boomer just now... a real house shaker!  scared

Trinkette--I can empathize with you with electrical storms. I have a huge fear of them. When I was lifeguarding an electrical storm came up pretty quickly on the water. We had a day camp of 4 or 5 year olds in the water which we quickly ushered out of the water. The camp counselor took the 25 children off the beach and had them stand under a tree. Lightening hit the tree and struck all 25 children. It was the most devastating site I ever saw. Many children stopped breathing, some were thrown from their sneakers and others had their belt buckles burnt into them. I, along with the other 18 guards from the beach were performing CPR on these babies.  Five children died that day. I will never forget that--weather makes me nervous too friends

DJM, I... I don't even know how to respond. Such an unthinkable, terrible, heartbreaking tragedy. I don't know how anyone could have come to terms with such a loss. I am so sorry.

OMG, djm.  That's absolutely horrific.  I have already had the discussion with my kids about never standing under a tree during a thunderstorm.  I cannot imagine how terrible this tragedy was.  Poor babies.   Cry

T- I remember that day like it was yesterday. I haven't seen an electrical storm that was as powerful as that one since. Hundred year old trees were uprooted in its path--it looked like a war zone. As for coming to terms with the loss--I agree with you. The child that I was resuscitating lived thru the night but died the next morning. All the guards went to the funeral to pay our respects. The parents thanked us for doing everything we could. A few weeks latter I was served papers for, get this, ADDED SUFFERING! They claimed that since the child lived thru the night he sustained added suffering.... The parents sued everyone and anyone, not just me. They sued the concession stands, the guards, the county, the park association, the counselors etc.  I resolved that it was their way of trying to cope with such devastation. After several years of court battles I was cleared under the good samaritan act. It became very hush, hush after that.

what is with this forum--makes me remember things I've surpressed long ago..

How utterly tragic!   I would have been devastated.   I can't imagine witnessing that and then trying to collect yourself to perform CPR.   WOW...DJM........so thankful that there is people out there like you!  The lives lost could have been more..........  Cry

I'm so sorry DJM. I agree with your assessment regarding the grieving family trying to cope. Of course, you know, the saddest part of all is that no amount of money would have made that family feel any better after the loss of their little girl. Such a tragedy for everyone. Seems like in memory of those children all that ensuing time, energy, and money could have been better spent educating people about the dangers of electrical storms... So sad.
