Welcome to ‘Survivor Diamond Island’!

This thread is for sign up purposes only.  If you wish to participate, let us know.  You all have a full week to sign up.  Entry will stop as of midnight Sunday 27th May and the contest begins!

Contestants will be split into two "tribes" and will have to answer questions and complete challenges to avoid a team member from being voted off Survivor Diamond Island.  Eventually, we will be down to one tribe and each member of that tribe will go head to head for the prize. Those who are voted off become part of the jury and will have to follow the Survivor Diamond Island thread to compete for a second place prize at the end of the game. There will also be a hidden immunity idol that will be sought after and used if you are voted off--more on that later...

We are still working out the final kinks but we will be ready to start on Monday 28th so start brushing up on your diamond facts!  This contest is the brain child of djm195 so he will be helping me run the contest and, as such, we are both banned from entering ourselves – as are Annie and WebMistress who may be helping us out from time to time.

Prize?  Well, you’re probably going to like this!  David has offered a little something but you are just going to have to consider it a mystery "grand" prize for now……….djm195 will be including a Jewel Jet Steamer and I will put together a manicure kit for all those times you need to take handshots.  Needless to say, this is going to be a worthwhile and fun contest!

Two leaders will be chosen by myself and djm, and then contestants will be assigned to the leaders in order based on when they signed up.  Leaders and teams will be announced on Monday 28th.

DJ and I have been thinking a lot about this--as it stands now, it will probably take 2 days for people to respond to a challenge ,for us to tally the answers and figure out who will be voted off. So--probably, at best, three challenges a week divided by the number of people in--that's how long it will take to come up with the final 2. As, DJ said--this is still in the planning phase so we will keep you posted.

Tribe leaders will help in this department--afterall, the tribe with the most correct answers gets spared tribal council.

Sanchica- yes, there will be--as far as diamond knowledge goes, your other tribe members will be able to help --some of the challenges will be just plain ol' dumb luck.  We hope that members are not reluctant to sign up because of a limited knowledge about diamonds.  Just remember outwit, out play, outlast and have fun!!!
