1) 24,78ct Fancy Intense Pink Diamond, emerald cut, worth more than $200 million is the world’s most expensive jewel to be auctioned

One can definitely expect a record setting sale when the most expensive diamond to ever be auctioned goes under the hammer. The pricey and extremely precious rock is a pink diamond that weighs 24.78 carats and is valued at over $200 million. The exquisite square cut diamond which is the most expensive diamond to go to auction anywhere in the world is currently touring the world before it goes under the hammer in Switzerland next month. The diamond was recently on display in Hong Kong and is sure to attract a number of bidders from across the globe when it goes under the hammer.

2) 10.11 Fancy Orangy-Pink diamond gets record price at Canada auction

Precious gems are known to fetch record breaking sums at auctions. And if the precious gem in question is also one of the rarest, you can expect its price to go sky high. That’s exactly what is going to happen when a pink diamond will be auctioned in Canada. The auction is being held by Toronto based Circa Auctions and has already caught the attention of collectors across the globe who are interested in buying the many gems that will be offered for sale. The rare pink diamond is definitely the highlight of the auction with a pre-sale estimate said to be between $2.5 million and $3 million. This high pre-sale estimate has made this rare gem the most expensive pink diamond to be auctioned in Canada.
The diamond has been graded as Vs2, meaning it has very slight inclusions that are not visible to the naked eye. The auction will be held at Toronto’s Park Hyatt Hotel on October 3. The diamond is currently on preview along with millions of dollars worth of other gemstones in advance of the auction.

3) Stuart Hughes iPhone 4 Diamond Rose Edition is the most expensive phone for $8 million

If Tony Sage is the client and Stuart Hughes is the designer cum maker, then undoubtedly the outcome has to be the world’s most expensive phone. Exclusively made by Stuart, the iPhone 4 Diamond Rose Edition flaunts a tag of £5 million ($8,020,000). Tony, who is renowned in the gold mining industry and also the sole owner of Perth's A-league soccer team, will certainly not settle for anything inexpensive. And since we have been following a range of most expensive cell phones, it’s simple to understand that the boost in the price tag is directly related to the increase in the number of diamonds and other precious stones metals. The iPhone 4 Diamond Rose Edition sports a rose gold bezel caked with 500 diamonds (100 ct) on front and 53 diamonds on the apple logo on the rear. Here the main navigation button comprises of a 7.4ct pink diamond which is set in platinum. However there is an option of swapping the pink diamond with an 8ct single cut diamond.

4) Stefano Canturi world’s most expensive Barbie supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Though we have already mentioned about the World’s most expensive Barbie, I wanted to bring her back on Luxurylaunches today for a reason that every women is going to appreciate. All set to go under the hammer at Christie’s for about $500,000, this designer doll sports a necklace adorned with a one-carat pink diamond. Lending his exclusive touch to this Barbie, Stefano Canturi has placed the emerald-cut, fancy vivid diamond in a geometric pattern with smaller white diamonds. All of it totals up to 3 carats which in turn earns her the crown of Most Expensive. Not only that, Stefano has also dressed her from head to toe in his creation of black strapless dress, stilettos, hair and other stuff. But the real reason why I am discussing about her here today is that all of the proceeds from the sale will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Now that's some real reason to feel good about! A Doll, that would have been every woman's best friend in childhood and Diamonds which are considered to be every girl's best friend all her life have joined hands to help eliminate troubles related to her foe, breast cancer which is one of the most common cancer in women.

I wonder if we could set some pink diamonds on my pink phone.

Think that would look good?  Grin

Sure.  Why not?  Diamonds would look great in pink plastic.  Sorry, Squigs - tho I like the purple design.  Looks like Ed Hardy for the OC.

I admit I like the little etchings.  In person it just looks like a darker pink and then a lighter pink for the other part.  Kind of cute.

Are you implying that diamonds and plastic don't mix??? LOL

As much as I like shinies I totally admit that to me that's a waste of diamonds.  I'd rather get new technology every few years instead of blowing it on making it blingy.

Diamonds and plastics mix very well - they both contain carbon.

I wish I had taken a picture of a bracelet I saw in a shop a couple of weeks ago - it was acrylic glass with a number of shapes cut into it, partially frosted and with inserts in white gold and pave diamonds. Very nice design.... but not quite useful as a phone.

Thanks RaffaeleT!  Love your unique findings!
Don't particularly care for the phone, but I do like that FIP ring!
