Here are some more pics.  Sorry was having troubles there.  Don't have a problem with taking the stone out but rather tranporting it accross borders.  The jeweler could take it out but the cost isn't worth it really.  He was trying to do something nice for me but ...it didn't really work out.  I don't have the heart to tell him.

I meant the jeweler could take off the sides and convert it into a pendant but it isn't worth it.  My mind isn't working right now.  Sorry the posting of pics is using up too many of my brain cells.

Actually, from the looks of the Ring, if you took the stone out, you'd do a lot of damage to the Ring.
Prongs make it relatively easy to remove and reset a diamond, but of bezel is entirely different story

For future reference, how do I go about sending a stone to GIA?   david  Do I have to go through a jeweler?

Seeing your ring brings up a question I have been meaning to ask (bezel settings).  Once a diamond is in a bezel, how hard is it to take out without 'ruining' it (or maybe it doesn't get ruined, I have NO idea)

 david

I say if you wanted a pendant and he did the ring? He should fix that!

Congrats on the new ring even though you wanted a pendant!!!  bliss
