I know, how can the title be 'oh no' AS WELL AS 'best present ever'?

Well, I am now in possession of a small pink diamond-- which is awesome! Except that it came from Thailand, and does not have a GIA report because 'GIA won't look at stones under 1 carat' - ALARM BELLS, ANYONE? It has some other lab report, but as soon as I heard that bullpie about GIA I'm not sure the report is worth the card it's printed on.

I'm going to keep it, because it is pretty and the thought behind it was very nice, but I'm just concerned that Mr Belle doesn't know the difference between enhanced diamonds and natural diamonds and might have gotten ripped off!

I've attached a scan of the report-- david can you please tell me what you think?

I can say for sure that if you like it, than it's a great stone!

I was thinking a DBTY necklace! Or maybe a tiny-tiny-tiny three stone ring (like a very small, round, Pinkie). Anyone else got any ideas?  Cheesy

I haven't any photos yet, because I suck at photography-- I'll see what I can do!

Mr. Belle did this on his own?  Cool.

Mr Belle, amazingly, filed away my constant jabbering about pink diamonds in the 'think about later' lobe of the brain, not the 'omg shut up woman' part.  Grin

Perhaps we could think about pear (or other) shape, and recreate a much smaller one of this beauty! Maybe a rose-cut pear, to mach the rose-cut pink?

I can't believe he remembered either! This might set an unfortunate precedent for all anniversaries to come...  Evil Evil Evil

There's also a little blue box design I like... how small can you get marquise diamonds?

That was wonderful of Mr Belle.  I can tell you that mine would never file any information of that kind away.  I can point to something and say I want that and he might just might remember.
I love all the ideas but I think we need    photo  to really give an opinion.
Congrats.

I'm spewing sad

Is this an Aussie thing? Huh?

I love that idea with the pear!  It would be stunning!  Also, I think it would make a great center in a flower pendant:

I think I've got it! I'm going to email you with my idea, David  Evil

Also, due to popular request, I will be taking pictures of the little pink! Note that my photography skills are beyond poor, so the first might be a scan on the flatbed scanner  Roll Eyes
