Whew, the diversion worked.
Here's a couple of group pictures that give us a lot more detail.

below you can see the color even better

I can use this parcel to point out some inherent challenges we face  in the diamond business- pinks in particular.
You see, this parcel is just that- a single property. Dividing it means having to figure out the value of each particular part.
What makes this so tough is that the diamonds are not neccesarily worth the same amount per carat....

So anyway....
Given that they are not all equal in value, I'd need to calculate what each would be worth on it's own.
No problemo, I'll simply pull out my handy dandy "Pricing Guide for Pink Diamonds".
Looking.....is it under here? No...hmm.... It's not over here either

All right, instead let's check the online list........he he he hehhehheheh

How about a movie specifically for CDI members

They have a lot of pink in them. Wow. Much more than I realized at first. The movie really shows it off.

#3, at around :56-:57??? PINK!!!!

I'm liking #3, but my favorite has to be #4!!!! The cut is amazing from my end Smiley

Great eye Snooper and Ace!

#3 is the deepest pink.
I also agree with Snooper that #4 takes the overall cake in terms of best cut, color and sparkle combo.....

Remember above, where I was talking about the difficulty of buying this type of parcel as a  whole and selling singly...
Quote
What makes this so tough is that the diamonds are not necessarily worth the same amount per carat....

This means that if I were to ask the cutter how much they want for the single #4 diamond- it might well be more than $6000 by itself.

I would not really want to do this deal, unless we were to buy all of them- many of the diamonds in our "arsenal" are purchased as part of a large group, allowing us the type of pricing we have.

But when it comes to a parcel of pink diamonds of any decent size- it quickly escalates into the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

For example, this parcel price is $657,823.

kidding.

WOW! I can totally understand how hard it must be to put that kind of moola out there and then wait, and wait, and wait to get it back. ACK!

This would be a very hard decision to make.   I think they all have such beautiful characteristics to them.    The .33 (#1) looks quite large for it's size.  I like the bowtie affect too!   The .44 (#2) has a really cool shape to it.  The .24 (#3) has a nice intensity to it, but the .43 (#4).........It has the best of everything!! Since these clearly have some pink in them will they be going to GIA before being sold?
