The debate:
Would white metal highlight the pink color, or mute it?
Traditional wisdom...well that's really not the right phrase, because there's no book on this stuff.
Let's say, I have always thought we should set pink diamonds in pink gold-
So we tried it.

Here's a diamond circle pendant- White gold, with brownish pink diamonds set into it.

What do you guys think?

CH, Snoops, and Boogers say Go Yankees!

But back to the question... I like how it turned out with white gold, but... I still say rose gold for Pink diamonds, yellow gold for yellow, White diamonds=YG/WG/Plat, up to the person Smiley

Difficult! Pink gold makes the stones look more deeply coloured, but white gold seems to make them look more pink and less brown?? I supposed it depends on the diamonds and the person. Um, so I wasn't a lot of help there, really!

Nice pendant!

I like the rose gold with the pinkish stones...seems to enhance the color and make them "pop".

p.s.  Sorry about the Yankees...the Tribe SPANKED them!!  Go Indians!!!

I think it is so hard to say from pictures and without comparison shots.  I will say that after seeing what rose gold did for the light brown cushion I used to have (now Ace's!), I cannot imagine rose gold would do anything but enhance the pink!  Still, like Jen said, it depends on the wearer, and I am sure there are many who prefer white.

How about putting it on a chain and getting a neck shot to see how the color pops when it is being worn?

You know what I voted for! I don't know if it is the pictures or what but I can't really see the pink. How does it look in person David? Can you tell that they are pink/browns? It is pretty though!

I agree, the rose gold makes the pink stones appear more intensely colored. The white gold, to my eye, gives the pink diamonds a more "champagne" look. And yes, AZSparkle, Diamondbacks all the way. I work about 3 miles from Chase Field and I can't wait to see another fly-over from the Stealth!

Just for fun and contrasts, could you photograph this framing Sandra's ring?

I know there is (or was) a brown/pink pendant with rose gold, but in a channel like setting...

I'd love to see the same size and style of this pendant but in rose gold to compare what color metals we prefer.

I would like to see one of David's rose and pink bands next to the Ritani Endless Love setting to see if they might coordinate...

That I can sorta help with! I have the yellow and rose band (not sure if it's the same setting as the recently showed curved and straight bands) but here's a pic of the Rit with the DBL bands I have.

There's a small height difference I suppose.. Unfortunately I can't take more pics of the Rit as it has since sold..

Wish you lived closer, I would love to sit the marquise on your hand with a pink band in the middle of it, and another white just to see.

This is the only other picture that might show you how the bands fit with other bands... Maybe David could tell you more about the bands.

GREAT comparison pic Snooper. In my head I always thought the ritini bands and the dbl bands were about the same. But there is a CLEAR difference in them! The dbl bands look more blingy  4 on the finger.  What is the ct wt and finger size on yours again?

Oh sorry, I forgot to comment on the circle pendant!

1. G O R G E O U S !!!
2. THe diamonds look white in some pictures - and more of a light champagne color in others.
3. Sorry, but I don't really see pink in any of the pictures.

Both Rit and DBL bands are a size 7.5 and the DBL band is .15 ctw I think and the Rit was .29 tcw for an eternity, so you can imagine the size difference.

HANDS DOWN my DBL out sparkles the Rit one!! It was one of the reasons why it was easier to let go of that band.  For such small melee .01??? David's melee is amazingly sparkly!

I'll definately check tonight! I know the curved band is .14-.15 and the straight bands might be .18? I'll post tonight with the official stats!
