I wondered if anyone could tell me why you rarely see grey diamonds that are not round!  I don't think I have ever seen one that isn't.  It doesn't seem to be a popular color for rings and yet they are still quite pricey.   I think they look beautiful yet I haven't seen on in person.
The other color i don't see much of is that beautiful orange pink or pink orange.... From what I see online it almost looks like cantaloupe in color.  I think its beautiful!!!!  Does anyone know of ring designs using these colors?  Do DBL use these colors in rings ever?Huh?

Would love to see more of this color so if any one has suggestions on where to look I am all eyes!

Well, If you look under "Earrings" on DBL you will find a pair of radiant cut grays surrounded by yellows. They are certainly pretty!

There's a thread here that has a ring with a yellow center that looks distinctly pink. I can't find it easily on my iPhone so I will look later when I get home. Have you browsed the DBL website yet? Be sure to look at the sold items too. Lots of goodies in there too.

To pick up one question that didn't get answered: why are grey diamonds mostly rounds? I believe the reason is that the round cut minimises colour appearance, and fancy grey (which are relatively rare BTW) can get to be rather dark (and thus unpopular) in the darker hues.

Having said this, that pair of fancy greenish grey radiants with yellow halos is incredibly beautiful.

Thanks for the info!  I do love the light greys (at least in photos) but the large dark radiants you are speaking about almost have cloud/spots which I think are kinda neat!    I get how the round cut might deal with the issue.
thanks again

One of the very first colored diamonds I saw was a relatively dark fancy gray diamond.  It had such neat look to it that the contrast lines looked black and gave it a wicked feel to it. I love gray diamonds myself but want a non-round some day.

The "Earrings" that are radiant grays surrounded by yellows are even more amazing in person!  The greys have incredible sparkle and life that just can't be captured in a photo (even with DBLs amazing camera and talent).   I'll wear them at the DBL Groupie dinner in October.   What else should I wear???

I think grey diamonds are beautiful - there have been a few non-round greys on the site in the past.

There is a stunning emerald cut on this page - diamond ring 23 - I just love this stone.   http://diamondsbylau...EmeraldAsscher.shtml

And there was a marquise at some point as well.  But I can't find it.

I agree!  And they are even more beautiful in person.  I will be wearing them at the NYC get together!

Well grey diamonds range after H!!
They are quite affordable compared to diamonds ranging from D-H.

BTW,Annie, Miz M, Squigs, Meb-wistress, is there any way to get ITEM #R1649 in the marquise eye candy page?  She really does deserve to be there.

And thanks, Rubymu,  for reminding me of those pages.  Yum!  Good to 'see'  you, it's been a while.
