Just curious what level yellow this diamond would be.  Shown next to my 2.50 brown diamond.  Thanks in advance Smiley

Impossible to be precise with the stone mounted and from one photo in unknown lighting and against a multi-coloured background.

It could be anything from S-T to Fancy Yellow or even Fancy Intense. And it could have a smidgen of brown (or is it coming from the brown next to it, or the skin underneath?) or be pure yellow. But this is guessing. If you need a "real" assessment, at the very least bring it to an appraiser that knows coloured diamonds; better still, have it unset and send it to GIA.

I agree. No way to know from a photo how ANY stone would be graded. Thank you for sharing the photo though!

I see brown in the yellow diamond as well.  LOVE the brown.  Care to share stats?

Sure!  It's an 8.4mm transitional cut and about C-2.  Here's another picture.

It's lovely.  I like the lighter champagne colors, the color flash on them is amazing.  GIA would be your best bet for getting your yellow evaluated, which is also very nice, BTW.  And, welcome to CDI.

I love the setting for the brown one. Care to take more pictures of that one to show off the detail?

Thanks!

Here is one before the diamond was set into it. It shows the detail better then I ever could.   It's an incredible setting.

I also found by backlight and used it on the yellow..  it was glowing a bright white/green.  It's amazing because the diamond is not hazy at all.

Haziness in fluorescent diamonds is actually fairly rare. In a 1997 GIA study on fluorescence, GIA could not find enough "hazy" diamonds to include in the study.

Another thing that is fairly rare is green fluoro, particularly in yellow diamonds. It may be (repeat - may be) a sign that the diamond is treated.
