Well, that's the trouble.  I can't decide.  Originally I was thinking bypass with the pear set at an angle in the center, sort of low set in that space.  Naturally, it would have to have a paved halo, and the shank would be half round pave, with surprise pink diamonds at the ends of the shank.  Then, I really liked OMC's idea of the diamond set in a multi-color paisley pattern (after all, I am part Scot), but then I fell in love with this:

Now, I'm thinking this, after seeing Liz Taylor's jewelry.  It's just classic and timeless.

Problem is, it's not 4.02 carats.  It's .57  I don't know if it would look ridiculous or not.  She's also not long and leggy.

I know the colors aren't what you are going for and it is a smaller pear but we do have a ring here that is a smaller pear done with the larger halo

I really do love the double halo though.  I tried both the gray-blue pear ring and the pink double halo ring on while I was there.  I know what my preference is for, but both are lovely styles.  

No comment on asses and being Christmassy or not

David will probably say bad words for me showing you this, but I just loved the top of this pear ring, R1750.  I traded it in thinking that David could make another one, only to learn that the manufacturer had gone out of business.

This ring really sparkled because the melee are 2 point diamonds, not the one pointers that are in most of the current halos.

Sherylbuys snatched this ring up before I could come to my senses and buy it back.

I agree that the 2 point diamonds really enhance an 1/2 carat diamond. The tweetie ring looks huge for it's size.  If they are in your budget, I would highly recommend them!!!

One of the things that I liked about the 4.02 IS the bigger diamonds.  They were prong set, not micropaved, and I REALLY like that.  It would be alot of fine detail work though.

Squigs, do you have a picture of the pink pear with the double halo from your visit?

DAF I didn't take a photo of it on my hand but it is the one we have listed that you linked to.  I really fell in love with pinks on that last visit and that double halo really stood out to me.  The other I have fond memories of is the purple-pink double halo cushion.

ooooooooh, that's STUNNING!  WOW!
I believe I have that setting in yellow gold, for an oval ruby.  I LOVE the beaded bezel more than I could possibly ever convey.  And the larger melee is astonishingly beautiful.  I just adore it with that PEAR!!!!!
