Ah2, do you mean a bi-pass similar to this?

I would take all these blue diamond rings, but I particularly like the BLVGARI 10.95ct. Fancy Vivid Blue.  What a wonderful color!

Thanks, RaffaelT!

Toi et moi for the more romantically inclined, or crossover for the engineers.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoohhh, I'm in serious like with the pear bypass ring.  I would certainly wear that if were to fall off the back of a truck, or, if it were affordable.

If it were affordable, I'd already be wearing it, DAF.   As it stands, I've been chasing that truck for longer than I care to think about.  animal-smiley-037

And yes, thank you GL and OMC.  Bypass was the term I was searching for, although I prefer the toi et moi.

AH2 this is a bypass ring David made for me a few years ago. When i was having it made I toyed with the idea of having different coloured diamonds in it but then decided to settle for the intense yellow pears. It`s a very comfortable solid ring to wear and I recently thought about having the stones made into drop earrings but then changed my mind.

Woof!  That's a gorgeous ring, Awestruck.  I'd have second, third, and fourth thoughts about resetting those wonderful pears.

And my apologies, Sparkly. Obviously, I can't hold a thought or a name for the length of time it takes to open up a reply anymore.

I just happened to stumble across this blue diamond

The Blue Heart diamond is 30.82 carats.  The gem was cut into its distinctive shape in 1909-1910 and was bought by Cartier shortly thereafter. Since then it has bounced around from a wealthy Argentinian woman, Van Cleef and Arpels, a European family, Harry Winston, Marjorie Merriweather Post, and, finally, the Smithsonian, where The Blue Heart has resided since 1964. And although it may look like it inspired the fictional Heart of the Ocean from the 1997 Leonardo DiCaprio epic, it didn’t – the Heart of the Ocean was actually based on the infamous Hope Diamond.

in every magnificent jewel auction, there is one breathtaking product of nature created before the beginning of time. Here, it is a rare, fancy, deep blue 10.48-carat diamond — flawless. There are no secondary colors. When a diamond is blue, carbon atoms have been replaced by boron, which is how the diamond absorbs its color. How you can put a price on such an object is beyond me, but it is estimated at $5 million

I like the cut on this one

In platinum.  As a dangle that can be added to a riviera necklace or as a pendant solitaire with a cap paveed in the tiniest white diamonds.  OMG.

I may be wrong, but $5 million is a gross underestimate. One carat pure blues go for $300k or more... when you can find them.

Lovely stone.

Still, when I think that if I had $5 million I could simply retire and enjoy life - or buy a largish blue diamond...  Tempted

Where did I put that lottery ticket? (Which reminds me: no wins in 2010 on the "win a tiara for everybody at CDI" idea)
