Okay, so here's the thing... I suppose in this way I'm prejudiced.

It seems like I always go for that bucket of crushed ice look...

I MUCH PREFER the facets...as opposed to the bucket of crushed ice look....but that is only my opinion. Wink

Believe it or not, when I first looked at them, that was my least favorite of the bunch.

I actually got to show them to big red when she was here... she agreed with the people who like a stone on the right.
I have since revised my opinion, and I do love it as well

CH? Did you buy this?  Wink Its sold!

I have seen all of these in person and they are beyond gorgeous! They are gonna make spectacular pieces of jewelry. I swear to god I was in such shock at all the beauties he was showing me that I forgot to take pics! I am totally kicking myself for not getting pics of these and that oval sapphire he just got in!  BangHead 1087

In my very Napolean Dynamite voice "LUCKY!!"  I had just started envisioning that one in an awesome ring with two white asschers, proof that if you snooze, you loose.  Big congrats though!  And this softer yellow colour does seem to be a perfect shade for your beloved fur angel  angel
Thank you !   friends    I too was thinking it was a better golden shade!  I am struggling with the setting!  I am thinking RHR- and I LOVE the asschers so was thinking 3 stone w/asschers- after all I wanted that 2ct asscher w/the blue cornflower asscher sides - that ended up being too big for a ring  Roll Eyes  OR the other option a beautiful halo with a yellow bezel and white melee and a white shank - which is very different from my 3 stone EC!

hmmm maybe you should go with the halo since you already have a 3 stone step cut ring, know what i mean?  here's a thought, what about a split shank halo?  white icy melee on the halo and down the shank!

I know exactly what you mean ace!!!  And I have discussed a split shank with David!  I just don't want it too fussy, know what I mean?

A split shank will be really nice!  I think you are right about it being different from your three stone.

David, that is a really nice stone.  I love the cuts of all of these stones.  When they come together in a parcel like this,  are they usually all cut from the same rough?

Great question, GIA Girl!
In terms of the "same piece of rough"... no that's not possible.  There are times that two diamonds are cut from one piece of rough, but in these cases, one of the resultant diamonds will be about double the size of the other.  So there's no chance two of them came from the same piece.

Your question to also be taken to mean "from the same group of rough".  In that regard, I do believe it's possible the three diamonds came out of the same group of rough.

I love longitude in a diamond. And it has drama in the corners.
