Oooh, Jen, I fear those pinks are WELL into house-selling territory.  Maybe even exceptionally-cute-baby-selling territory.  (That said, given your fellow CDI'ers' reactions to that sweet Amelia, you might be able to work out VERY generous terms!)

Those are simply the most beautiful natural fancy colored blue diamonds I've ever seen in my life. That asscher had me at hello. But the blue emerald cut is so classic.

And the pinks. How long must we wait to find out more about those. A white in the middle would look awesome. Earrings, too. I just can't decide. <grin>

The shape is amazing. I guess if you're going to have a cutter cut your blue rough, you choose only the very best.

Yes, it's not only the fabulous color, but also the cut that is so incredible on that asscher; the corners and wide windmills, aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh <passes out>.

I'm wondering about the cutter too - David, how would the cutter for this be selected? One just doesn't seem to hear about the great cutters in the general public; is that more well known in the trade? Do you know who the cutter is who did this stone?

I seem to remember you talking about one of your favorite cutters preferring to stay out of the limelight with respect to his profession. Is that preference of anonymity or low proflle common? Is it for security's sake?

I know only a little about this. I'd like to know more, too. How do you become the "chosen".

See, not that bad at all. At the moment, I could get away with selling only the garage, and keeping the house. Robin, I hate to say it, but I don't think I could sell Amelia. She's way too cute and DH would kill me! Grin

I have to agree with omc. The foam box in 90px just isn't showing off the diamonds. (So kill me for my opinion.) But that pink or blue would be a fab avatar.

A good suggestion!
I've actually tried - but the noise from the F train was drowning out my cable tv.....

I know DJM- I'm feeling the same.

Maybe if we both wish , we might could have a couple of "Super Stones" in the store soon!

You guys got me too far from the eye candy. Whew. I'll live in a box for this diamond. After the first rain, I might not feel that way, though.

So let me get this straight...The guy that showed you these diamonds walks around 47th street with over 2 million dollars worth of diamonds in his pocket?

Does he drive a Brinks truck?

No. And I tell you what. You can walk NAKED down 47th street with $100 bills taped to your *$$ and end up at the end of the street with the $100 bill still firmly in place (even if the rear that's carrying it isn't so firm). That's because there are so many undercover cops. Watch the video djm!

That was a bit trashy. Sorry. I digress.

Yes, it's amazing what "walks in" to our office.
A guy just left who had a pair of matching 10 carat rounds ( one J/SI1,. the  other K/VS2) BESIDES the 5 pink diamonds - including this one- almost 3 carats
