HI Everyone!

I was looking at a few diamonds today, and happened to have a camera handy.
I can't post too many specifics- but you can still have a glimpse....

I can tell you that this diamond is over $400,000. It is somewhere between 1.00 and 1.50cts....

Sapphires are looking pretty good to me right now, from a price perspective anyways.

This EC is TDF!

Holy Toledo, Holy Toledo. That is gorgeous. Unbelievable. How did you get hold of these?

They usually choose radiant cut. How come the cutter chose a step cut? Not that I mind. It's heaven seeing colored step cuts.

Great questions WM!

We do have access to a lot of diamonds - we buy as many as we can, but some present us with some unusual choices....
"Live in a house and don't buy that Deep Blue, OR Buy the Deep Blue, and live in the subway"

I keep choosing the house...stupid me...heheh

Another good question!

THe decision making process is so very important when there is so much money at stake.
Computers are used to "model" the diamonds. This allows the cutter to know how much loss there will be based on the shape they choose.
Clearly, certain shapes are more desirable based on trends- but some shapes seem timeless- such as an Asscher.
The desirability of the shape plays a large role in the process.

Sometimes there's an imperfection which also throws a wrench into the works. Would a 3.50ct SI2 be worth more than a 2.85ct VS1?

In this case, I am very happy they chose Asscher- it's truly a one of a kind!

WOW!  Hmmm.  Maybe living in the subway isn't so bad??  Can you imagine this with either two icy white asscher sides or better, two pink asscher sides?

OK, I thought I was going to be done in by just the two blues alone, but then you go and put the pinks on either side!!!

Aside from Sandra's ER, this has to be the most amazing combination of diamonds I have seen on this site.

I think we need a hand shot of that ring on Sandra's hand.

Those pink asscher diamonds. Are they spoken for?

Oh.
Do you have these pink asschers in stock, David? Just out of curiosity, how much would they cost and could they be set as a three stone asscher band with a white centre the same size? What sort of ball park could we be talking about? Selling my house or just trading up a pendant or studs?

Thanks
Jen

p.s. about the blue asscher - you do layaway, right? Grin
