Ok - I already use Picasa to "manage" my digital photos, which reside on my computer.  They do offer "web albums,"  which I assume is "web based"  storage.  Is this similar or the same as Photobucket?  Does anyone know?    Thanx

Ack!  Sorry to hear that AZ.  I've never used photobucket, so I can't help, but I hope someone can.

Oh AZ! I'm so sorry. I don't use it often enough. I wonder if it's not lost, though. Usually, they set those things up to ask you again before it deletes it entirely. But I don't know for certain.

AZ I use Photobucket all the time.  There's a customer service that you can email and they'll help you - I'm pretty sure it's in the Help section.  It's virtually impossible to delete all your photos (unless you were managing your account and deleted that or ticked all and then pressed delete).  Having said that, Photobucket don't backup so if you have deleted your pictures then they may not be able to retrieve them.  Try emailing them and I'm sure they'll help.  I had a response within about 30 minutes when I had a problem.

Good luck!

AZ, I am sick that this happened. I know how you feel, too. I was moving photos on my computer and they all got destroyed. My only copies, too. I also took my card into be looked at and we had to reformat and thus I lost all the photos I took of my son on our trip to the wax museum. So I share your pain.

Oh no AZ that just stinks.   Cry  I guess we all need to make sure we have back-ups of our pics because it can all be gone in a couple of clicks.  So sorry it's all gone.   Cry  Do you think there is anything in the threads that you can save or did you link it all from photobucket?

Tom and I have been looking into external hard drives to start backing more things up.  The prices are really getting pretty reasonable for a good amount of storage.  We're going to have to start getting serious about it because there is a good deal of stuff I don't have saved anywhere but on my computer.

I am sorry to hear about this.  I use Picasa but every few weeks I make a CD, I donīt use their backup but make a gift CD which separates everything nicely.  It is such a shame when you lose precious stuff.
I hope that Photobucket can help you.

I bought an external disk drive a while ago (not expensive) and I use it once a month ..... just in case!  Luckily I haven't had to retrieve anything yet but I'm sure they'll be a time when I will.  I can recommend using one because it's quick and easy and only takes about 5-10 minutes.

You hooo! Photobucket junkies.

Can any one tell me whether and how you can edit a slide show. I recently did one and the person sent additional photos to add to the show and I can't find where in photobucket to edit the darn thing. I can just make a new one but it seems like there would be a place to edit and I've just missed it.
