I have a canon, although not the same model as you.  There should be a tulip button (macro) and hit that to make the picture clearer... Gently press the button that you'd push to take a picture until the object in question focuses... Try that.

I don't have a tripod, and what I do is get close to the object w/ macro (tulip).  It takes a lot of bad pics to get a good one sometimes

Hey Snooper, thanks!  That tulip button worked!!  I had no idea what that button was for!!  I didn't get fab pics, but I just wanted a pic of my ER that I want to replace with genuine.  I also took a pic of my Christmas present, which was a 5 ct Ametrine ring with .6 ct of diamonds.

Cool. That tulip button works for me, too. But do make sure you hold it down just a bit, not all the way, and it will focus. Then press harder to take the photo.

Yes, FINALLY after close to a year I post my ring.  This was taken with a cell phone.

This is ring R1537 in the sold items along with 2 curved .25 bands.

She's a stunner, Princess!  Perfect setting for a "taller" stone.  Here's a shot from DBL's web site.  Look at that yellow sing!

Thank you Mikla! Also thanks for posting the DBL photo.  Obviously with a higher grade camera and light it does embrace the yellow.  Actually, at least to me, there isn't any shot that really does the ring justice.  Even after a year, I can't help looking at it with admiration, just like the day I first saw it.  Here is another photo taken inside with artificial light (in the bathroom)!  The previous is natural light.  Both with a rinky dink phone camera.

wow  That's one unbelievably gorgeous ring.  I've seen the 5 ec, but never one with radiants in graduated sizes, let alone with a glorious yellow as center.  Niiice!

Thank you  ah2bqat ... sweet thing.  I guess you are right.  I haven't seen many graduated 5 stones like this one on DBL... wow maybe it is unique?

I can't tell you how much I lusted after that ring. I had a hand in that design. OK, a finger but let's just say I was invested emotionally. So, so, so, so gorgeous.
