Hi David! I was wondering, as another one of my FAVORITE diamonds of all time, what makes this one an I1? Could you pretty please (when you have the time) take some pictures of the back and side of this one?

Wow, this is still available!! I love this stone! And yes, it reminded me of Chopper! I believe this stone had some fluorescence in it which I think is awesome, especially in a yellow stone!

I really hate calling attention to it for fear of it being sold, although it will still be a while before we can afford anything, I really was interested to see why it's got the clarity grade it does (the 1.86 I3 thread sparked my interest!)

HI Guys,
Wow, hectic day!

I did have a chance to do some shooting- but it takes some time to produce the video and publish it on youtube- hopefully in the next day or two for the video.


AS far as the question at hand:


The photo above shows why I called it I1.
At around 1:00 you can see some feather stuff going on in the upper right side of the table, out toward the corner.

Then, almost dead center, a few pinpoints of carbon.
Can't see this stuff with my eyes though....

That color must mask the inclusion because I STILL can't see what makes it an I1!     We can name this stone Chopper II.... Wink
