By the way.....
Anyone want to see some PINK Sapphires?

Sure.

I'll probably get fired for this comment...but...here goes. Why do I think that yellow and pink sapphires are yellow and pink diamond "wanna bes"?
I don't feel this way about the blue sapphires, just the yellow and pinks.

Okay--no one throw anything at me... 1224

David, are you going to make me clean your office? If you are...DJ told me to post this.

djm- how could you even think that? It's the exterior which you'll be tidying up.
There's a lot of soot from all the police car chases on 47th street, bring heavy duty coveralls.

But seriously folks- Pink Sapphires are really cool if  you find a nice one.
This guy is really nice looking.

The color ranges from an almost bubble gum pink to a deeper purplish hue...

david

I love sapphires and have been looking around a bit.  Several questions come to mind regarding certification (AGTA or GIA) and also heating/no heating.

What can you tell us about the merits of the various certifications and the price difference between heated and non-heated stones?

Thanks - Mikla

Okay, I have been voraciously reading this thread since it started  back in May (thanks Mikla),
and you all pushed me over the edge.... I needed a quick sparkly fix so I bought this:

Thanks!!
Can't wait till it arrives....

Oh DiamondNewbie, I am super jealous!  I am so wanting a sapphire right now.  The color on your new ring is a rich deep vivid ocean blue.  I love it, and I'm glad this went to a CDI'er.

Many, many congrats!  (Of course, you know we will require pictures of this ring on your hand  Grin).

Blue with envy,
Mikla

That blue sapphire ring has a killer color. It is such a classic, sophisticated ring. I tried it on in NY last time I was up there. It was hard to leave it there.

Trinkette, I, too want those measurements.

This and some others are also listed in the catalog database. 14Karat White Gold AMETHYST Earrings. I'd like to see those, too.

DiamondNewbie, I'm sorry, I thought that I responded to your FABULOUS PURCHASE, but, nope...  an obvious case of brain lapse on may part.  My apologies. Now, to get to it:

Your new sapphire ring is absolutely stunning. Gorgeous color, beautiful setting, generous size.  I can't wait to see it on your hand.  I KNOW it will be a KNOCK-OUT!  Congratulations.  notworthy
