I don't want my husband to divorce me?  He's still getting over R1346 and isn't really clear about the 2.18 W-X pendant yet . . .  Wink

I can't take any more. David, STOP IT!  smackdownguys

(I must say, I normally prefer cushion sapphires, but, the radiant actually makes me feel giddy and sick at the same time – literally.  Giddy because it makes my heart sing, sick because it makes my piggy bank cry).

The photos give you the idea, but I really feel like Sapphires are generally more "Camera Shy" as compared to diamonds.

You know what that means, don't you David?  We need VIDEOS to fully appreciate their beauty, yes?!

Picking Sapphires is so very difficult for a lot of reasons.
One stone may look very rich -UNTILL- you hold it next to another.
At which point the stronger stone can make the lesser one look really bad.

This is so true! I really like my sapphire ring, it's a nice lively stone, a vibrant mid blue and the cut isn't too bad either.  I was wearing it when I visited David last year and next to the sapphire cushion with the half moon sides, it looked embarassingly bad! Grin When I looked at it again later, it was back to being a nice stone.  I wish I had found DBL before I found that sapphire though.

The afore mentioned 5.04ct.....

This stone has an unusal cut- which was pointed out to me- you can see in the photos.
There's an area near the center fo the stone that looks almost like a window.

From arms length you don;t notice it, but under close examination You can see the culet is off center.

The stone still has a gorgeous color- and great sparkle- but we won't buy it....

Thank you for being so selective, David.  I love knowing that when the time is right for me to have a lovely sapphire ring (fingers crossed!) that you'll have only the very best-cut stones for me to choose among.

Dear David -

Are there more sapphires to be posted?  Somehow I thought you had an oval in the group . . .

I adore scissor cuts.  I've got a Tanzanite that looks very very very very similar to your Sapphire David.  I love the way the facets play with the light.

Here's the first one..
3.54carat, AMAZING color (this is the one I called "Cashmere")
Unheated with AGTA report.
The Sapphire measures 9.64 x 7.51 x 5.21

It would list for $8495

What do you guys think of this stone in this setting?
