Hi Everyone!

Okay, we get many PM's from you guys asking for advice or thoughts on diamonds and pieces, so we thought it only made sense to start a series of threads with the top picks of WM, Annie, Snooper and myself.  Each thread will have ideas in a different price range.  Obviously a fabulous place to send the DH too......... Cheesy

We will share with you our thoughts on the stone/pieces we have chosen as well as perhaps offering setting suggestions or linking to items that co-ordinate well.

We hope you enjoy our 'Mod Picks' threads!  Recommendations in the over $10,000 range coming shortly.......

Okay, this is truly hard.  There are so many pieces and diamonds that I would be delighted to give a home to, that it is painful to whittle it down to just three.  Here goes.......

First would be 6.20ctw 3 stone all yellow ring (item #R2076).  HOLY BANANAS.  There wasn't much competition for the top of the heap for me.  I completely love this one - and so does my DH.  In fact, he even asked how much it was.  I wish it were a contender for a trade up!  What is not to love?  It's just impeccable - sheer perfection.  The three massive yellow radiants would take up some serious finger real estate.  I wish it were mine!  $32,450

There's something special about this one (item #R1378).  It's the 2.16ct K cushion with the yellow trills.  It's great to see a switch with the colorless center and the colored sides.  The bowed trills work beautifully with the cushion.  It just works - all round.  The cushion is cut beautifully, it's a VVS2 to boot and it faces up a great size for it's weight too.  This is another I would be delighted to own.  $14,992.

Finally, after much deliberation, this is my last pick (item #R1689).  It's the 4.07ct yellow heart necklace.  This is one that I often have a small private hissy fit about not being able to buy.  I love the simplicity yet the grandeur of having a 4ct diamond sit at your neck.  Simple but in no way boring.  Yet again, this is a piece that won't be out of style anytime soon.  David has had some stunning hearts in the last year or so and this is no exception.  I know I have re-examined my feelings about them and would truly love to own one.......one day.  For now, I need to be content with my little hissy fits about this one as it's not coming home with me no matter how much I pout......!  $20,995

Man, do I have to do everything around here?

Now if you can come up with a downloadable, printable catalog without prices attached, (still grouped according to prices) that would help the XY Alliance for gift giving.

(Wait a minute DJ...I thought you were taking a step back-LOL!!!) Yeah, right.

This was actually pretty tough to choose. And I added one extra.

I'm cheating and adding another of my faves. This is my hand so I've seen this one and dreamed about it ever since. I did do such a close up that it did my hands a disservice. But it's the ring we are looking at, right?

I did something like this once but our inventory changes so rapidly and the downloads were so few. I'm wondering if the wish list with a second page of examples in price groups.

Like the first page would be similar (or almost exactly like) the wish list page you suggested. Page 2 could be examples in a price range with photos. Sort of a what you can get for each price group without listing prices. It would have to be dated and have a disclaimer since prices fluctuate but it would sort of ballpark jewelry purchases.

Page one, the wish list details. Name what you want, contact info etc.

Page two, price examples $5-10k- three examples and so on with photos in several categories. And then a blurb about our trade up policy.

Does that make sense?

WM and Snoop each took one of mine (the WX halo ring, and the pink marquise) so I would like to second the vote for those!

On to my list:

This one hit my as soon as I saw it.  I'm a big fan of bowed edge trills, and this ring has two great examples of them.

$18,500.00

Look how the diamonds fit together!

I actually told David that I thought the yellows and rubies were a bad idea, MAN WAS I WRONG!  I love how this ring turned out, and I think it has a very rich look for the price.  Amazingly unique!

$11,495.00

This one really surprised me when I saw it.  I always thought it was pretty, but in person, it blew me away.  The hearts look perfect with the cushion, and I love how the tips of the hearts flow into the shank.  The center stone ain't half bad either...

$26,200.00

You know, Annie, I agree with you - that's one that wouldn't have normally caught my eye, but now that you've brought it to my attention, it's fabulous!  The sides are perfect with the cushion!  WOW!
