I am a little surprised that I love this ring so much. Not because it isn't beautiful, it is. I just thought I would end up wanting a halo style ring. I'm a little nervous about the I clarity though and plan on speaking with David about it. The one thing I have learned from dealing with him the last month is that I know he will be honest with me. Love that about DBL. Was hoping that a few of you Diamond aficionados (OMC)  Wink would look at it for me and give me your opinions as well. The price is unbelievable and to me the center Diamond looks huge.  Thanks so much! Kris

That is a very pretty ring.  I like it a lot!  Includsions are a personal thing, but for me that is the perfect type of inclusion.  I don't do well with the black carbon spots, but imperfections like this blend away and are so much harder to see.

I love th color of this stone as well.

Funny enough I usd to waffle between a 3 stone much like this and a halo, so I think going from a halo to this isn't much of a stretch.  Each gives more finger coverage and is a very classic look.

Clgwli- I feel the same way you do. Black spots are a deal breaker for me as well. The only issue I'm having is that my first ER was a three stone and I was hoping to go comp. different this time around.  You know how that goes though...the heart wants what the heart wants. I also am loving this one and my daughter thinks it's much prettier than the other.

Who knows I'm sure I'll change my mind 50 times before I decide. This is all Davids fault. If he didn't offer such beautiful pieces then I wouldn't be so indecisive. I need to win the lottery and solve all of my problems. I could afford them all and not have to discriminate. I think that's my problem, I don't want to hurt any feelings.  Wink

I can understand getting for different this time around, but at the same time of shows you have kept constant in your tastes.

That said I do absolutely love the new ring you linked to and probably better than the first. The lines are just stunning on it.

I had you on being indecisive though I am so bad at that myself.  It took me a half to decide how to set my stone.

Umm. This is a tough one. I'd like the colour and price of the first centre stone with the ring, cut and spread of the second.

I prefer saturated colours, and (a good) Fancy brownish-yellow is as close as one can get to a nice FIY - at a quarter of the price. But the cut of that 1.66 is amazing. Do you prefer sparkle or colour?

Clg- I saw the close up of your ring that OMC posted and can i just say....STUNNING!!! I can only imagine what that beauty looks like in person. To be honest I was not a huge fan of bezel settings but your ring absolutely changed my opinion. GORGEOUS  gogirl5 Trust me I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it.

OMC- Those are my thoughts on each ring exactly, you took the words right out of my mouth. As to whether I prefer sparkle vs color it's honestly a toss up. I suppose if I had to choose I would have to go with sparkle. I can never seem to take my eyes off of a stone, no matter what the color, that has an unbelievable cut. So I guess it really isn't a toss up is it haha.  I do, however love the color on the first ring which surprised me because I have always leaned towards the lighter FYs. I think in this case it will probably come down to what I can talk my hubby into spending on me. I think I'll tell him I want one that's over 20,000.00 in price that way when I suggest "settling" for the 1.66 it will seem like he's getting off easy ha. That's just slightly manipulative isn't it....**SHAME**   Evil  oh well wish me luck & hope it works, heehee  cross

GIAGirl- UHMMM This was my honest reaction when gazing upon that ring.......  DropGob!!  How in the world did I miss that big beauty when I was looking at the others. What a huge oversight on my part. Great, now you've managed to make this an even more difficult decision for me haha. I don't know whether to thank you or curse you  Wink. I know what an ingrate right.  Let's add that one to the mix and see what our friends think. I also love the size of that center stone as well. You caught me I'm a size queen. I love a nice big 2ct. center stone. What a pretty color as well. All joking aside thank you so much for taking the time to post.

I love the way you think with the way of telling him it's a bargain Grin

Honestly I am drawn to the 2nd one you posted because I personally am drawn to slightly less saturated color.  So the opposite of OMC.  Not that one is right or wrong, it's a preference thing.  I do like the color of the first one you posted compared to a FIY though.  It's not quite so intense (yeah literally) and that appeals to me.

Now the one GIA girl posted is divine as well.  The Daussi cushions are a huge favorite of mine.  It would be a great blend of types of sparkle all in one ring.

It really comes down to what is your style and what are you drawn to most.  That can be super difficult to decide particularly when there are so many good things out there.

Thank you for the kind thoughts on my bezel.  Oddly enough that was not at all what I considered.  I didn't think I was a bezel girl at all, but the more I looked at types of rings and all that out there, I realized it was perfect for me.  I could do simple little stackers to give me the extra bling if I wanted yet I got the texture look I like in halos.

I'm highly conidering a 3 stone ring of sorts for a RHR (symbolizing my family).  I also wouldn't mind a real halo ring some day.  But for every day wear I think my bezel is perfect for me.  I think it will stand the test of time too and never really go out of style.  Then again bezels are pretty darn classic in general.

Clg- I tend to lean towards the second, like you, as well. It's the sparkle that just draws me in but then again that third choice has both sparkle and color. Not too much color but just enough. Oh decisions, decisions. What's a girl to do??

The fact that you can add some stackers to your ring is another huge draw to that style. I love the versatility that comes with it. You could buy a couple more rings and have so many options. I totally dig that aspect!

Hi Kris,  I know what your going through too...so many pretty rings to choose from, not enough money trees to pick from!    1087

I like all three rings, but considering that two of them are twice the price of your first ring...I'm afraid that your decision must first  be that of how much you are willing and able to spend at this time.  ( I'm willing too much and able not enough, must of the time...my problem evil5 ).   So, if it was up to me, and spending an extra $6,000 for the ring is not an issue, then I'd pick the one that GIAgirl found for you, that 2.02 fly cushion has a beautiful color and I love the side Daussi cushions.  That being said, it is twice the price of that first great colored diamond ring, which is so lovely and in person, probably even more eye delicious!  Good luck with your decision, and remember, any of them will look DAZZELING on your finger!   bliss      Kiss

I'm stuck on this one. Can't stop myself from drooling.

Somehow I missed the square radiant with princess sides. I love the corners and claw setting.

That brownish yellow with half moons looks like an intense or vivid. It's such a rich color.

Kris after wearing a ring with a gap between the wedding band and the ring had me realize I really wanted a ring that allowed for a wedding band to sit flush with it.  I think that is what ultimately killed the idea of a 3 stone for me.  In order to get that, the ring would have had to be too high off the finger so I nixed it.

You need to pick which one makes your heart sing.  The first one is a nice color really.  It's deep in color but not too much and that brown helps it have more of a golden color IMO.  Are you okay with the clarity?  That's the big one for me with the first one you should decide on.

The 2nd one is very beautiful, but is the price too much?  Is it worth it to get a larger stone where the coverage will be even greater?  Due to the cut of the 2nd it will have noticably more finger coverage from the main stone a lone IMO.  You are also getting platinum vs white gold.  Which do you like?

If you are okay with the price then I'd consider the Daussi as well.  At that point I would ask David for side by side photos and some more videos to see which I would pick.

That's what I would do if I really had to decide.

Of course I would also rather win the lottery and buy all three Grin

Webmisstress that emerald is stunning.  So unique and beautiful.

CLGWLI, look at the setting on the 2 ct yellow /Daussi sides....I think the fatness of the stone would sit up higher than a smaller band.  I think it might sit a little more flush than most three stones.

Well, you all lucked-out. I wrote a really long response awhile back, and then erased it all by mistake before posting. Roll Eyes Basically, I wrote that there is not a bad choice in the bunch. I mean, really, you can't go wrong with ANY of the rings mentioned; each is beautiful and well-crafted.

Kris, are you able to prioritize your wants... ie, which comes first – ring style, diamond color, size, clarity, and etc.? Try to put the ring/diamond characteristics in order of most important to lease important. Then, apply what you know to the choices at hand. Be ruthless.

Why did you mention the halo and then step away to the three-stone style? Did you initially want a halo? Or, did you just desire something different? If you don't get something different, or follow your first inclination, will the "need" still be there after your purchase of something else?

Open your virtual jewelry box and imagine, one at a time, each ring contender sitting between the jewelry that you already have. Which piece will make you smile? Which will you not be able to resist? Which piece will you MISS MOST if you do not buy it?

Something else to think about... the setting itself. Platinum and gold alloys wear, feel, and look different and each requires unique maintenance over time. Do you want to see white metal, yellow, metal, or both (or something else, like rose gold)? Is your center stone to be set high, or would you prefer a lower-set stone? Do you like a shank with hard, squared edges; rounded, squared edges, half-circle; totally round; set with stones...? Individual shank profiles will feel distinctively different between your fingers. As already mentioned, would you be wearing this ring alongside another ring?

My head is spinning haha. I'm so confused as to what to do. I keep going back and forth on the clarity issue. It doesn't have any black carbon spots which would have been a total deal breaker for me, so Idk. I keep going back and looking at the first ring and I really do love it. Then I look at the second and those side stones are to die for. Overall it's a beautifully crafted ring but like we have said it's a lot more expensive than the first. Then there is the third, the daussi is really everything all in one but it's more expensive than the second. My money tree has unfortunately been depleted. Three little girls will do it to you every time, am I right!?

I have thought for the last year that I would end up with a halo style setting. I still think that's where my heart is to an extent but it's not like this is the last ring I will ever purchase. I'm starting to get on my own nerves with this whole thing  Huh? I have to call David this week to check on my girlfriends ER and see how it's coming along. So, I think I will chat with him about the first ring and to be honest if he says it's gorgeous and that the clarity really isn't an issue then I think I might go for it. I just love the color of that center stone and the price...I mean really? The price is unbelievable in my opinion.

I soooo appreciate all of you taking the time to help me out and comment. Your all so sweet to invest time into people that you have never met. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you ALL!! grouphugg

Talking David always helps!  iAnd remember Kris, David does allow trade-ups, so you could, after some time, end up with any of those other rings or a different one... Evil  (Although you might never want to part with it once it's on your finger!)  Wink

Talking to David should really help.  I would trust him on his eyes with that inclusion.  I know there are great I1s out there and he seems to know how to find them!  I think all three are fantastic though!
