In real life, 1 mm is not that much, but when it comes to diamonds I guess there is a visible difference.

So my question is David:  david Can you show us some videos where you compare ie two diamonds where one is ie 1 mm taller and wider than the other.

The reason for asking, is that I am not able to imagine how much ie 1 mm really does matter.

Did anyone think this topic was about something else?Huh? Shame on you.....  bunny7

It matters - it REALLY matters!  Even a much smaller difference in length and width would be apparent.  It's all relative.  Diamonds are so small (in the big scheme of things) that 1mm makes a BIG difference.

I know that these shapes are different, an oval and a radiant, but here's a video with a comparison to give a bit of an idea, I'm sure comparing two radiants or two ovals would be best:

http://coloreddiamon...i-request-a-movie/0/

The radiant is 1.92 carats and measures 8.13x6.51mm
The oval is .95 carats and measures 7.55x5.49

Not quite 1mm difference in length but it is right at 1mm difference in width.

It would not seem like it but 1mm makes a pretty big difference.

Thanks for your input.
I know that 1 mm does make a huge difference, but it would be great to see two diamonds side by side in a video.

If possible I would like to see the 1.26 ct Cushion L/SI1 and the 1.51ct Cushion L/SI1 next to eachother.

thanks for the visualization david...  we'll if you think about it 1 mm difference between 6 mm and 7 mm is 1 / 6 which is over 16% larger...  that's huge...  and if we compare 5 mm and 6 mm that's 1 / 5 which is 20% longer...   icon_cyclops_ani icon_cyclops_ani

WOW size really does matter. On paper the difference is minuscule but on the video it appears to be quite vast.
