Im just wondering about how environmentally friendly DBL is..  Undecided
I want an earth mined diamond but all those other companies {Ive looked at) say how bad it is for the environment..  Cry Cry Cry Cry
Can I pay a tax on my diamond that will be used to plant a tree or be donated to an enviro sister company through DBL?? Wink

love your work guys.. angel

Hi Frea
Great to read your post and I see your point.
The guys and gals on CDI already have a tree dedicated to the fun and friendships we enjoy here and also as a way of paying back just a little something to the World for the pleasures we get and the resources we use on CDI.
David will answer any questions regarding the mining of the diamonds, I know very little about that side of things but for everything I take out of the World, either by the packaging used to send my goods or by the sheer fact of not only being rich enough to feed my family but also afford luxuries such as diamonds, I put a little back into the World.
For my birthday I bought myself a goat donated to an African family as well as a bypass diamond ring from David. I got the ring, they got a means of feeding their kids fresh milk and selling any left over milk for money to buy other things. She`s called Bling Crosby, but yep she`s a girl lol
The CDI tree isnt only dedicated to the special people on here but reduces our carbon footprint and helps to replace the boxes we receive our treasures in.
This post isn`t a boast nor is it meant to be patronising or condescending to the people who may receive my pledges, it`s just my little way of showing I don`t take how lucky I am for granted and even though I`m lucky enough to afford diamonds I still care about our World. Even before finding CDI if something good happened in my life then in a small way I try to ensure something good happens in an unknown person`s life and over the years have sponsored or donated to many overseas families.
This Xmas CDI will have another " eco gift " donated from me because if I were to send all of my special friends on here a Christmas card and pay all of the postage then it would cost just as much, if not more.
Welcome Frea and it`s great to have you there and even greater that you asked the question you did .

Diamonds are like people, put them under a microscope and you`ll always see a flaw but hold them up to the Sun and each and every one is beautiful.
