Has anyone seen or have a picture of this combination?  I've been saving up for a DBL piece for a while but I can't seem to put my finger on exactly what I want.  I love emerald cuts, I also really like the look of trillion sides but I don't think I've ever seen that combination and I'm curious how they would look together.

I've also really been drooling over DBL's gemstone pieces, especially the rubies.  What about an emerald cut diamond center with trillion ruby sides?  Hmmm, any photoshop experts out there that can help?

Hi Ruby,
We've made that combo over the years ( emerald cut center/Trill sides)- but honestly, it';s not my favorite- for intrinsic reasons.
I love a brilliant faceted stone flanked by step cuts- but the opposite ( to my eye) can make the step cut look a little.....dull

Using Rubies next to an emerald cut- now that sounds very nice!

Great Idea AZ!

We have had shield stones that looked like step cut trills!
