I noted a remark in one of the webpages for a Diamonds by the Yard necklace:

"The small white diamonds are made so that they can lie either one way or the other. There is no upside down."

Please explain how there can be "no upside down" with the small bezel set diamonds.

Thanks.

Basically, the design is made to allow the diamonds a lot of movement - therefore they can either lie table up, or culet up.

We're talking about small diamonds - we use .05 ct and smaller- so the eye picks up the sparkle- and can't really determine if it's table or culet facing up.
Under close examination, yes, one could notice- but the neck is an area where close examination requires the observer to be quite intimate with the wearer.
Most of the time necklaces are viewed from a distance.

BTW- we did make a pair of really cute DBTY earrings.....
I'll see about some photos of those.....

LOL When I received my DBTY necklace I told David I was having the heart diamond attached to a plain chain because the little diamonds on the chain kept turning over.
Errrr David educated me that they were supposed to ....
So I guess the info is for thickos such as me  Roll Eyes

Diamonds are like people, put them under a microscope and you`ll always see a flaw but hold them up to the Sun and each and every one is beautiful.

Fuzzy picture and all, I like them! Dancing_biggrin

They are similar to "threaders" that I have for some of my gemstone sets.

And thanks for answering my question about the bezels.  I thought perhaps you had figured out a way to mount two stones culet to culet so a table facet was always facing outward.

Oh I love these!  I also like things to match and these earrings would go great with a DBTY necklace.  You must make some more earrings like this.  Perhaps a pink gold set to go with R2566?

Mikla,

That would be a really cool set with your new ring.  4

Yes, I agree;  David, we need to make a pair in pink gold to match R2566. Grin

I love these earrings, too.   I think I need a pair with white diamonds and one with brown diamonds!

I would love to see a DBL DBTY layered with a DBL necklace like this. Very pretty.
