Namtan - I like the idea of the heart with wings.  I spent some time thinking how I would set it (if I bought the stone) and decided on baguette side stones.  Your idea is not far off that.

Here's a picture of my daughter's DBL yellow heart. I still love the look and craftsmanship of this ring...The tapered channel set bags are spectacular...

Beautiful, DJM!  I've not seen the like before.  Your DD is a very lucky girl.

Nantam, I really like your idea, especially as a pendant.  Imagine bringing the shields up a couple of degrees, so that the 'wings' look like they are pointed slightly up, with a chain running behind all three stones a little below the endpoint of the shields - as a slider.  Alternately, where the chain ends directly at wingtip. In this case the chain would continue arcing up and away from the heart almost as a visible air current from beating wings.

Thanks all. You've been very helpful.

I not sure that I want to set the  heart2 as a ring because it will bother me if I can see the inclusion. But it will not be a problem for a pendant.
