I keep reading online about the euro shank is sooo much better, but they are hard to find in stores.  Anyone ever tried one on/own one?

Thoughts?

I'm not sure- maybe others have tried them!

Thanks!

They do not look comfy, they appear more bulky actually. But I could be mistaken.  I'm just beyond curious.

No clue about the comfort (I cannot even wear my wedding ring, never mind something else), but I thought the main idea about the Euro Shank was to avoid rotation - which of course it does admirably well.

For one of the rings I had David create, I requested a euro shank.

It is an extremely comfortable ring to wear!!!  And no ring spinning Smiley

Welcome!

I admit I have tried them on and they bug me.  But I also don't care for comfort fit rings either so I seem to be more picky about the style of fit.

I have a Euro-style shank on a ring that was my mother's. I don't wear the ring anymore; however, back in the "old days" when I used to wear it, I found the ring to be extremely comfortable. The ring features one multi-carat colored stone, along with some small diamond side stones. When worn, the somewhat thin white gold band does not spin on my finger at all. If this style were more readily available; I'd probably choose it over "regular" shanks.

I've had one before.  I have to say mine bothered me just a little. It was comfortable enough, but I always "noticed" the feel of having it on.  For me, I'd rather have the regular kind, but if spinning is a major issue, it would be great for that reason.  Smiley

I dont have big spinning issues with all my rings, if I size them just under a 5 they dont really move much.  Even though I'm in a busy area, theyre very hard to come by.  Ill keep searching though!

I usually do not have much of an issue with my rings spinning either, but the design I asked David to make needed some balance.  I would definitely recommend trying on a few rings with a euro shanks if it is possible to find them, some are more 'harsh' (more squared than rounded) than others and can feel a little uncomfortable if they aren't the right contour of your finger.
